Meet The Dentists

Dr. Richard Dickinson graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1973, moved to St. Albans and has been providing comprehensive and excellent dentistry to the Franklin County residents ever since. He enjoys practicing dentistry and he takes great satisfaction in helping people achieve pain-free, functional and attractive smiles by using state of the art technology such as digital scanning, Invisalign, and myofunctional therapy. He especially enjoys working with his two adult children and helping share his knowledge of dentistry with them.

During his career, Dr. Dickinson, Sr. has continued his dental education diligently and encouraged Dr. Branon and Dr. Dickinson, Jr. to follow his lead in learning about the new developments in the dental field.

Dr. Dickinson resides in St. Albans Town with his wife Lynn on their family farm where he raises registered Angus Beef. His children, Grace and Rich work with him as dentists at Dickinson & Branon Dental Care, PLLC and his oldest daughter, Lindsey lives in the DC area with her husband and three sons. In his free time he is on the Jay Peak Ski Patrol, takes care of his Black Angus cattle and is passionate about health and exercise.

After completing her undergraduate studies from the University of Vermont in Animal and Biological Sciences, Dr. Grace Branon earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

She is a member of the Vermont State Dental Society serving as the previous President, member of the American Dental Association, as well a member Dawson Institute of Occlusal Studies Alumni, American Academy of Clear Aligners, and International College of Dentist. Dr. Branon loves to grow her expertise in cosmetic dentistry with extensive continuing education in Aligntech Institute with Invisalign, Clinical Laser Dentistry Classes, TMJ with Dawson Institute, Myobrace pre-orthodontic devices and sleep dentistry classes including an airway Health Solutions Mini-Residency.

Dr. Grace Branon and her husband Daniel have a beautiful daughter. They are both native of Northern Vermont and enjoy in their free time skiing, hiking, running or doing anything outdoors in Vermont’s beautiful scenery.

Dr. Branon gives back to her community by visiting local schools teaching the importance of oral health and healthy habits. Donating her time to write grants for schools to supply dental supplies to the children giving them the opportunity for a healthy smile. She works with Voices against Violence to help bring smiles to those in need and also enjoys working with Special Smiles and the Vermont Special Olympics. She enjoys the unique opportunity of working with the athletes during oral health screenings and the athletes bring a big smile to her face and make her laugh.

Dr. Richard Dickinson, Jr., (“DJ”) was born and raised in St. Albans. He attended St. Albans City Elementary School and Bellows Free Academy, St. Albans. After graduating from Dartmouth College, Dr. DJ worked as a product development engineer at Allegro Microsystems, Inc. in southern New Hampshire. Although he enjoyed the pace of new product development and working in the technology sector, dentistry offered an alternative career path that combined the sciences and participation in the well-being of others. He decided to return to St. Albans to join Dr. Dickinson and Dr Branon in practice. Dr. DJ feels very fortunate to be part of such a great group of professionals who work so well together and care about the long term health of the community. He has great mentors in Dr. Dickinson and Dr. Branon. “We prioritize learning so we can improve how we perform treatment for our patients.”
